In the Spring of 2025, Mariner hosted the first ever middle school unified soccer tournament with Beacon and Fred Thomas Middle Schools.

Biggs Art Museum Awardees

Students participated in the Adopt-an-Artwork program with Biggs Museum in Dover. It features works from ten of Mariner’s 8th grade ceramic artists displayed in the museum alongside the adopted artwork from Puerto-Rican American artist and Philadelphia local, Roberto Lugo.

Fifth grade students from HOB and MES had a tour of Mariner Middle School where they will attend sixth grade next year!

Mariner Middle School Principal, Mr. Fred Best, was named the State of Delaware Secondary Principal of the Year by the Delaware Association of School Administrators, and the Delaware Association of School Principals.

Middle and Elementary School Students Collaborate for Cross-Age Monster Project

Eighth grade AVID students from Beacon, Frederick D. Thomas, and Mariner Middle Schools teamed up with kindergarten students from Lewes, Love Creek, and Milton Elementary Schools for a creative, cross-age project inspired by two books: The Color Monster: A Story About Emotions by Anna Llenas and Go Away, Big Green Monster by Ed Emberley.

Sons of the American Revolution Representative Shares History of the American Flag  with Mariner Middle School 8th Graders

Eighth-grade students at Mariner Middle School received a living history lesson this week when a representative from the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Delaware Society, Caesar Rodney Chapter, visited their social studies classrooms.
