Course Description: Today’s world is full of challenges and problems that need to be solved. Therefore, our students need to be equipped with strong problem-solving skills for when they step out into the real world and face similar situations. To help in the teaching of such skills, we will be implementing a curriculum called Eureka Math. It provides a rigorous, student-centered approach to learning. Students will have the opportunity to engage in the content, make discoveries, and truly understand the math by developing strategies of their own and making connections. 

The curriculum is broken into six different modules (units):

• Ratios and Proportional Relationships
• Rational Numbers
• Percent and Proportional Relationships
• Expressions and Equations
• Statistics and Probability 
• Geometry 

Each module is further divided into several different topics that build off one another.

Required Texts, Materials, and Resources: Students will be provided workbooks for each module that must accompany them to class every day. Students will also access work via Schoology. It is imperative that charged iPads come to class every day as well.
