Every student is expected to come to class prepared with all the materials needed.

Students will not be permitted to go to lockers for missing items. If students do not have their journals, they must complete the work on a separate paper and later transfer it into the journal.

1. all students will enter the room and begin the daily warm on the warm-up sheet. Students will write the question, date, and answer the question. Warm-up sheets will be kept in the classroom until it is completed and graded. At which time the student will be given back the graded sheet to tape into the journal.
2. After the warm-up is completed, students must then refer to the agenda for the day and prepare themselves for the remainder of the class.
3. Monday all students should copy down homework in the agenda and leave it open for the teacher to sign.
4. If students are finished and waiting on other students or the teacher they are expected to study past information in the science journal

No student has the right to disrupt the education of other students

Homework: Homework will be given a minimum of once a week.  Students will get homework on Monday due Wednesday, and / or Wednesday due Friday. Late homework is NOT accepted because students have two days to get homework completed. If a student is absent the day homework is handed out they are responsible for obtaining a copy from the homework drawer and turn it in on time.  All homework is worth 10 points for completed work, 5 points for partial work, and 0 points for failure to turn in work.

Studying for Tests: Students will have a science journal, as well as a science notebook for each unit we study. Students are encouraged to look over previous information in order to study for upcoming tests and quizzes.

Missed work

• It is the STUDENTS responsibility to find out what was missed while absent, either from the teacher or peers. Folders are posted on the front wall with days of the week indicated; students can obtain any missed work from these folders upon their return.
• Missed work cannot be made up during the class time. Test / Quizzes can only be made up at lunch by appointment only.
• Work turned in without a name will be posted for students to claim, and graded with the point deduction. 

The District make-up work policy is that you have the same number of days that you were absent to make up the work. After this time frame, the assignment is a zero.

R.E.E.C.H. ~Cape Henlopen State Park Trip

110 students will be invited to attend a 2-day overnight environmental science program in April/May at the State Park in Lewes DE. To be considered for the trip, you must have NO office referrals all school year, and maintain grades above 80% all year in all classes. This is Non-negotiable!!!
