Mariner Middle School Principal, Mr. Fred Best, was named the State of Delaware Secondary Principal of the Year by the Delaware Association of School Administrators, and the Delaware Association of School Principals.

Two teams of 8th-grade students from Mariner Middle School proudly represented their school and the Cape community at the 2025 Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference, held May 7 – 11 in Orlando, Florida. One student even made school and District history.
A team of three seventh-grade students from Mariner Middle School earned first place in The Stock Market Game, a nationally recognized program that introduces students to the fundamentals of economics, investing, and personal finance.
Cape Henlopen School District is proud to announce that three of its student teams have qualified for the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, a prestigious international creative problem-solving competition.
On Wednesday, April 16, Mariner Middle School held its second annual 8th Grade Career Fair, offering students a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of career paths and interact with professionals from diverse industries located here in their own community.
