Mariner Middle School Principal, Mr. Fred Best, was named the State of Delaware Secondary Principal of the Year by the Delaware Association of School Administrators, and the Delaware Association of School Principals.

The Cape Henlopen School District is hosting its third annual spring job fair on March 14, 2025.
The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice recently honored Mariner Middle School students Myan Greene and Geremiah Curtis for their leadership, effort and excellence.
Fiona Fisher, a seventh-grader from Milton (a student at Mariner Middle School), was awarded first place in her age category in a nationwide oratorical contest to recite from memory a famous speech delivered by American abolitionist Frederick Douglass.
Mariner was the only Delaware team with a top world finish this year.
